Alpataco is a thorny bush that embodies the spirit of resilience needed to prosper in the endless Patagonian plains. Dry sunny days, cool nights and frequent winds characterize this terroir. Hand picked from the vineyards, located at the Neuquén River Valley, the grapes create an attractive and vibrant wine. 40% carefully aged for 6 months in French oak barrels, 60% aged in stainless steel. Aromas and flavors of flowers, red fruits like raspberries, currants and strawberries, served with mushrooms and mineral notes of vanilla and cocoa also, made by wood. The palate is round and fruity with mild tannins, medium body and moderate acidity. Fossils of a dinosaur were found during the construction of the winery. This specimen belonged to the Titanosauridae family, well known because of its huge size and it was given the name Panamericansaurus Schroederi, inspiring the brand of two lines of wines of Familia Schroeder: Saurus and Saurus Select.
