Estate proprietors Claudia and Silvia take cues from the three generations of Cigliutis preceding them by working the vineyards directly as well as supervising the winemaking process. Work in the cellar is kept to a bare minimum and the wines are left to follow their own natural course. Fermented in stainless with indigenous yeasts, rested an additional 26 months in a combination of neutral Slovenian oak and second-use French barrique. Notes of fresh cherry, raspberry, flowers, anise and sweet spice. Full-bodied with ripe tannins, soft texture and long finish. Drink 2019-2030.
