From the clay and limestone soil of Lisboa comes this excellent red. Pressing occurs after total destemming. Fermentation is in vats of 26.500 litres with programmable pumping over system and temperature control to 28. ºC - 30. º C. Maceration in contact with skins and (submerged) cap for 28 days. Partial aging in oak barrels.

Espiga is a beautiful dark color. It has intense black and red fruit aromas, with chocolate and oak notes. In the palate it is fruity, rich and well structured. The fine and smooth tannins, and a balanced acidity, all combine to a long and pleasant finish.
