Francois Chidaine, "Touraine" Rouge 2017

15.00

Domaine François CHIDAINE which today extends over 37 hectares.
The Chenin Blanc reigns supreme over the 20 hectares of Montlouis and the 10 hectares of Vouvray . The vines that prosper in more than fifty plots have been conducted in organic farming since 1992, and biodynamic since 1999. They are rooted sometimes on flinty clay soils sometimes on clay-limestone soils that transmit to Grapes a palette of nuances . The remaining 7 hectares are predominantly Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Grolleau, Cabernet Franc, Côt and Pineau d'Aunis varieties a little further east of the Cher Valley under the Touraine appellation . “Touraine” is comprised of
50% Cabernet Franc, 35% Côt and 15% Pineau d'Aunis.

This light and gourmet red wine with a ruby color tasted in all simplicity. The nose is charming with its notes of red fruits such as cherry or raspberry. The mouth is supple, fruity and well balanced. The finish with delicately spicy notes of white pepper recalls the presence of Pineau d'Aunis.
