In the mid-50s Il Borro passed to the Duke Amedeo of Savoia-Aosta and in 1993, the same Duke sold all his property to Ferruccio Ferragamo. Ferragamo who in 1985 fell hopelessly in love with the Il Borro estate. For years the Ferragamo family had rented the Tuscan estate until they decided to buy the property. From that moment on, Ferruccio Ferragamo, with the help of his son Salvatore (today AD de Il Borro) makes an important restoration, restoration and installation of this ancient destination that still carried the wounds of the Second World War.

"Il Borro" has an intense purplish color with purple reflections. The aroma is intense, full, concentrated, with hints of undergrowth and hints of spice. The taste is dry, full-bodied and with soft tannins, consistent and well blended, of considerable persistence.
